WHO defines Essential medicines as those that satisfy the priority health-care needs of the population. The right to Essential medicines has been considered an important component of the right to health. In the name of equity children should also have access to appropriate, available, affordable, and quality essential medicines they need, but children's essential medicines are too often missing.
