Abstract

This research programme found that an ‘Enhanced Reminder’ reduced the socioeconomic gradient in uptake of NHS bowel cancer screening and, in common with ‘GP endorsement’, increased uptake overall.

Programme Grants for Applied Research (PGfAR) publishes evidence aimed at improving health outcomes in England with practical application for the benefit of patients and the NHS in the relatively near future. Find out more about the PGfAR journal.
