Abstract

Trauma is defined as the morbid condition of the body produced by external violence, and can be further categorised as blunt or penetrating trauma. Blunt trauma is usually secondary to motor vehicle accidents, whilst penetrating trauma is most often caused by gunshot or stab wounds. This guidance addresses the diagnosis, treatment and management of renal, ureteral and genital trauma.
