Abstract

As part of the National Survey Programme thousands of patients are asked about their experiences each year.  These surveys provide NHS trusts with a wealth of information about their patients’ experiences. It is crucial that this feedback is used to inform quality improvement programmes and to create a more responsive, patient-centred service.  Survey results should be widely disseminated if they are to play a significant role in quality improvement initiatives.
