Abstract

The guideline is aimed at all physiotherapists and occupational therapists involved in the management of patients with metastatic spinal cord compression (MSCC) in the acute sector. It may also be of value to those in clinical governance roles in primary and secondary care, to ensure appropriate care delivery for patients with MSCC.

This document provides guidance on physiotherapy and occupational therapy referral, assessment and supportive care and rehabilitation for patients with unstable and stable MSCC under the following subsections:
