Abstract

Evidence-based recommendations on processed nerve allografts to repair peripheral nerve discontinuities. This involves using a specially treated nerve (an allograft) taken from a human donor after death to bridge the gap in the nerve.

Next review: the guidance on this procedure for digital nerve discontinuities will be reviewed if there is new evidence or safety concerns, and that for other peripheral nerve discontinuities will be reviewed in November 2020.
