Skills for Care and the Local Government Association (LGA) have commissioned ICF to provide details of how each region contributes to the English economy. These reports have used Skills for Care workforce estimates.
Key findings include:
The total direct, indirect and induced contribution of adult social care sector activity in the South West to the English economy was estimated to be between £4.2 billion to £4.6 billion.
This was estimated to be higher than the agriculture, forestry and fishing; and mining and quarrying sectors.
