Intermittent iron supplementation for reducing anaemia and its associated impairments in adolescent and adult menstruating women

Abstract

Review of 25 studies (n=10,996) found intermittent iron supplementation may reduce anaemia and improve iron stores among menstruating women and it is probably as effective in preventing or controlling anaemia compared to daily supplementation.
